MARIJA SALOPEK

In this Brazil-Croatia project my partners were Bruna Carvalho and Laura Carvalho Carmo. We were messaging to each other for a month now and we’ve learned quite a lot about each other. The most interesting thing I’ve learned about them is that they are classmates and cousins!

Bruna is a 14 year old girl from Goiânia, Brazil. She has been studying at Colégio Marista since she was three years old. Her hobby is dancing ballet which she has also been doing since three years old. She told me that dancing ballet is really hard and ballerinas have to be flexible and have a lot of strength and I really admire her for being able to dance like that. In her free time she likes reading books, watching TV or listening to music. She also likes spending time with her sister Marcella who is six years older than her. Her favorite genres of music are R&B, MPB, pop, house and hip hop and from books she likes The Selection and Divergent. She is quite busy during weekdays because of the school and ballet but on the weekends she has a little bit more free time. She usually goes to shopping centers or to the cinema with her friends, or she sometimes goes to her grandparent’s house and has lunch with them.

I had a lot of fun while talking to Bruna and I think she is a great girl. I think we have a lot of things in common and I hope we will continue with this project in the next school year and have a chance to get to know each other a little better.
